The children's author David Walliams dropped by book publisher.

The author

Best-selling young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.

A representative for the company commented: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the conclusion was made after an investigation into reports of questionable actions directed at young women.

The firm has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."

A Highly Successful Writing Journey

Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies internationally in five dozen languages.

His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.

Several of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.

To date, he has released over four dozen titles combined, including a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.

Television and Literature

He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.

This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive last fall.
